Over the years, INFACT Canada has called attention to the following
problems with baby formula:
*lack of essential fatty acids
*genetically engineered soybeans are used to make soy formula
*Health Canada test results showed that infants fed soy formula
were taking in 600 times the amount of aluminum compared to babies
fed breast milk.
*contain heavy metals such as mercury, lead
*contain phthalates
*soy formulas are high in phyto-estrogens which are gender-benders.
They disrupt hormones, leading to thyroid disfunction, goiter,
early onset of puberty, infertility, and immune system problems.
*contain MSG
*formula is made from milk coming from cows fed BGH (bovine growth
hormone)--formula is imported from countries where this is allowed
*milk-based formula contains residue of antibiotics which are
given to cows
